Skip the Ferry and Take Your Own Boat
Need a North Captiva boat rental? This barrier island north of Captiva has no bridge, so you arrive by water. Step by Step
How to Get to North Captiva
There are two ways to get one of our boats to the island:
Pick Up in Cape Coral
Come to our marina from 9am, park for free, get your orientation and boat across. Day rentals return by 5pm.
Mainland Dock Handoff
For island stays, the boat is ready at the nearest mainland public dock, and you take it to the island from there. Call to set the details.
A boat for your whole stay means no ferry schedule. Multi-day rentals are available by the week or month.
Beaches and Shells on the Island
North Captiva is quiet, with no cars on the island. Much of it is state land, and the beaches are a good place to look for shells. Inside, Pine Island Sound is shallow in places, so follow the map your captain marks for you and watch the tide.
Boats That Make the Trip
Add beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler or a fishing package from our accessories list when you book.
A captain covers the safety gear, the GPS and the paper map with every rental, wherever the handoff happens. Each boat leaves full of fuel. If we pick it up at the end of your stay, we top it off at our marina and charge the card on file. Overnight car parking at the marina is fine during multi-day rentals.
- Pontoon: fine on the inside waters of the sound, not for Gulf runs.
- Tritoon: three tubes for a steadier platform loaded with beach gear.
- Deck boat: room for the family, coolers and chairs.
- Center console: good for fishing the passes and carrying gear.
