Your Own Boat on the Caloosahatchee
Looking for boat rentals in Fort Myers? Our marina sits in Cape Coral, across the Caloosahatchee from downtown Fort Myers, and the river is the road that connects the two. From there the water opens up to San Carlos Bay, Pine Island Sound and the Gulf. If your rental home is on a canal, ask about boat delivery, or drive over and pick up at our dock, where parking is free.
Two Ways to Start Your Day
Fort Myers visitors have two options. You can come to the marina in Cape Coral, park the car and leave the dock after your orientation. Or, for a fee, a captain brings the boat by water to your vacation rental, so it waits at your own dock. There's no tow-and-go: the boat arrives on the water, ready to run.
Pickups start at 9am, and day boats come back by 5pm. Rent for a single day, a week or a month. On a multi-day rental the boat can stay at your rental's dock or at our marina, whichever suits your plans.
What to Do by Boat From Fort Myers
The Caloosahatchee is wide and easy to learn, and it leads out toward the barrier islands. Dolphins commonly show up in the river and the bay, and manatees live in these waters too. Read our tips on dolphin watching by boat before you go, and keep an eye out for posted manatee zones.
Your captain marks the map with good places to stop, eat and relax, and points out where not to go, since tides matter in the shallows. Plan beach time around the 5pm return, and leave room for the ride back to the marina.
